CLAREMONT — Taevyn Michael Merrill, 2, died Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Valley Regional Hospital in Claremont.

He was born June 14, 2010, in Claremont. He was affectionately known as “Half Pint.”

Taevyn was a smart little boy and loved peanut butter and crackers.

He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Gary Merrill Jr.

He is survived by his parents, Maryjane (Chase) Merrill of Claremont and Gary Merrill III of Apache Junction, Ariz.; his brother, Gary Merrill IV of Claremont; his maternal grandparents, Michele and Al Tucker of Newport and Michael Chase of Florida; his paternal grandparents, Brenda LaClair of Apache Junction, Ariz., and Sandy and Gary Merrill of Charlestown; his maternal great-grandmother, Jane Howlett of Newport; his maternal greatgreat grandmother, Bessie Seavey of Newport; his paternal great-grandmother, Alice Merrill of Charlestown; his godparents, Ernie Leonard and Nicole Adair of Claremont; his uncle, Michael Chase Jr. of Unity; his aunts, Irene and Kayla Desrosiers of Newport; his great aunt and uncle and his cousins, Lori and Ben Brehio, Samantha and Amber of Lempster; and his uncles, Brett Merrill and Steven Hastings of Apache Junction, Ariz.

Friends may call at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, at the South Congregational Church, with a service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
