CLARE- MONT — Betty Ann Ramos, 73, of Fiske Place in Claremont, died unexpectedly Friday, July 27, 2012, at her home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Claremont, the daughter of Roland and Dora (Gosselin) Poulin.

Betty was an LPN working at Bay State Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., for 30 years, retiring on July 29, 1994. She had previously worked for Forbes & Wallace in Springfield, Mass., and F.W. Sickles in Chicopee, Mass.

She moved from Chicopee Falls, Mass., to Claremont on Oct. 25, 1997.

The family includes two sons, Wayne Croteau of Somersworth, N.H., and Bryan Croteau and his fiancee, Jennifer Wells of South Berwick, Maine; two grandchildren, Mychal and Annie Croteau; one sister, Barbara Poulin of Newport; one brother, Roland A. Poulin and his wife, Jan, of North Richland Hills, Texas; one nephew, Pride Poulin; and numerous cousins.

Betty was preceded in death by one son, Russell G. Croteau; her parents; and her grandparents, Henrie and Elodia Gosselin.

Visiting hours will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, prior to the Mass, at Stringer Funeral Home, 146 Broad St., in Claremont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at St. Joseph Church with the Rev. Father George Majka officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
