WINDSOR — Mildred R. Bailey, 100, formerly of 243 Broad St., in Claremont, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at Cedar Hill Continuing Care Community in Windsor, following a period of failing health. She was born Feb. 4, 1912, in Charlestown and had been a longtime Springfield resident.

She was the widow of Walter Bailey, who died in 1988; they were married in October of 1935. Members of her family include a son, Russell Bailey of Claremont; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-greatgrandchildren.

There will be no visiting hours. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Millie Bailey’s name to the local chapter of the SPCA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Roy Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 93 Sullivan St., in Claremont.
