David C. Diehl

ALSTEAD

David C. Diehl died Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer. He was born July 6, 1952, in Bethesda, Md., to David C. and Patricia Ann (Gray) Diehl.

David had worked for 30-plus years in automobile parts and service, his last position being warehouse manager for Lambert Auto Sales, Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep in Claremont. His career included master technician level of diagnosis and repair of VW, Audi, Volvo and Mercedes-Benz and ASE Certified (Daimler) Chrysler- Dodge-Jeep parts specialist.

David enjoyed NASCAR racing, the Indianapolis Colts, Key West, Fla., and restoring classic Mercedez- Benz vehicles.

He is survived by his wife, Kim (Wirkkala) Diehl of Alstead; daughters, Roxanne Larabie of Sebastian, Fla., and Shannon Diehl of Rutland, Vt.; one son, David S. Diehl of Antrim, N.H.; one brother, Timothy Diehl of Tampa, Fla.; an uncle, Jack F. Diehl of Indiatlantic, Fla.; two grandchildren, Chloe and Luke Larabie; and a nephew, Parker Diehl.

There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Vermont and New Hampshire.
