CLAREMONT — The following cases were heard in the 5th Circuit Court, Claremont District Division during the week ending Friday, March 18:


— Anthony D. Roy, 36, of P.O. Box 137, Bradford, Vermont failed to appear in court on a charge of possession of marijuana. A judge issued a warrant. Roy was charged Sept. 24, 2015 in Plainfield with a previous felony conviction for the sale of drugs.


— Matthew C. Hewitt, 26, of Beech Street, Newport was found guilty of possession of the controlled narcotic drug Suboxone and fined $350. Hewitt was charged July 24, 2014 in Claremont after police found him him in possession of a half-pill of Suboxone.


— Cassandra L. Reed-McGuire, 25, of 928 Old Claremont Road, Apt. 3, Charlestown failed to appear in court on a charge of criminal mischief vandalism. A judge issued a warrant. Reed-McGuire was charged June 21, 2014 in Charlestown after police said she recklessly damaged a cell phone by grabbing it from the owner and throwing it to the ground, shattering it.
