An ‘egg’cellent Easter egg hunt at Arrowhead
CLAREMONT— Overcast skies and mud underfoot couldn’t keep more than 300 children and their parents away from Arrowhead Recreation Area on Saturday as the Claremont Recreation Department held its annual Easter egg hunt.
“The Easter Bunny came by this morning and set out 5,500 eggs,” said Mark Brislin, director of the Recreation Department.
After he was done, the Easter Bunny stayed around to watch the fun, according to Brislin.
Hidden among the eggs were special golden tickets. Anyone who found a golden ticket could pick a prize from the table ranging from toys to baskets filled with goodies.
The kids cleared the hill of eggs during both sessions, then opened their eggs to see if they had gotten any golden tickets.
Afterwards, the kids would stop to get their picture with the Easter Bunny.
