Sunday, Jan. 22
11:03 a.m. — Two people at the intersection of Claremont Road and Lovers Lane Road carrying bags were just waiting for a ride.
11:46 a.m. — After a residential alarm activation, an officer spoke to the homeowner, who was all set.
3:23 p.m. — After a traffic stop on Claremont Road, the motorist was issued a citation for speed.
4:22 p.m. — After a traffic stop on Bellows Falls Road, the motorist was issued a summons for driving without a valid license.
5:28 p.m. — Ambulance personnel and police responded to a 77-year-old woman who was dizzy and having difficulty breathing. She was taken to the hospital.
7:32 p.m. — A resident’s stepfather was trashing her home and throwing her belongings around.
8:10 p.m. — A resident was hearing voices. An officer found the resident was having hallucinations due to medication and would call her doctor in the morning.
9:20 p.m. — Officer checked on a vacant home with a light on in the barn. All doors were secured and no footprints were in the area.

Monday, Jan. 23
9:27 a.m. — Garbage bags reportedly left on Sullivan Street turned out to be piles of leaves.
12:12 p.m. —  Officers responded to a report of a man coming into a residence demanding drugs and showing a gun. The officers located the man, who had taken off, and he was arrested and transported to the House of Corrections.
2:42 p.m. — Officer spoke with a resident about being harassed.
2:45 p.m. —  Officer responded to a report of a child smoking marijuana in a downstairs apartment, which makes their apartment smell. The child was spoken to by an officer.
4:30 p.m. — Officer spoke with a resident about a theft.

Tuesday, Jan. 24
10:14 a.m. — Report taken of a mailbox on Calavant Hill being smashed. It was found to have been caused by a plow truck.
7:41 a.m. — Officer spoke with a resident about a fake Instagram account.
7:52 p.m. — Report taken of a plow truck coming onto a residential property while plowing on Old Claremont Road.

Wednesday, Jan. 25
4:15 a.m. — A propane truck stuck at the bottom of the hill on River Road was gone when an officer arrived.
10:10 a.m. — Police assisted ambulance personnel with an 87-year-old woman who has fallen. She was taken to the hospital.
10:39 a.m. — Officer responded to harassment at the middle school.
1:36 p.m. — Officer responded to a neighbor dispute about plowing a private road.
3:27 p.m. — Ambulance personnel responded to transport a resident from Springfield Hospital to their Charlestown home.
5:02 p.m. — Officer responded to a complaint about dogs running loose on East Street in the cemetery and in a resident’s yard. Officer spoke with the dogs’ owner and the complainant.
7:18 p.m. — On Claremont Road, an officer checked a car with its flashers activated.
7:54 p.m. — An interior door was broken inside the Congregational Church.

Thursday, Jan. 26
8:52 a.m. — Officer assisted the primary school visit to check on a child who had not been in school for awhile.
8:54 a.m. — A garbage truck was spilling trash onto Claremont Road. The company was called.
9:25 a.m. — Officer responded to a local bank about check fraud.
11:01 a.m. — A 53-year-old man having a seizure was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
4:26 p.m. — Officer responded to a report of a motorist driving on the wrong side of Claremont Road. It was found to be an elderly man from another state along with his wife was having a medical issue and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Friday, Jan. 27
4:02 a.m. — Police, fire department and ambulance personnel responded to a two-car accident on Claremont Road. No injuries were reported and both cars were driven from the scene.
4:40 p.m. — Police and fire department personnel responded to a report of a car over the bank with a possible person lying face down on Bellows Falls Road. It was found the owner of the vehicle was fishing and what appeared to be a person was actually a paper bag.
5:16 p.m. — Officers spoke with a resident about domestic violence. Officers made an arrest and the person was bailed and released with a summons to appear in court.
10:37 p.m. — Officers responded to a local store for a report of a boy who walked into the store with a can of beer to use to the restroom. The boy was arrested and released to his mother, who was also arrested for driving to the police department with a suspended license. The mother was also released and both were issued a summons to appear in court.

Saturday, Jan. 28
6:04 a.m. — An 83-year-old man who had fallen was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
9:46 a.m. — Fire department personnel and police responded to heavy smoke in the River Road area. It was found to be a controlled brush fire.
12:22 p.m. — Officer responded to a report of a car in a ditch on Acworth Road. No injuries were reported and the car was pulled out by another car with no damage.
4:30 p.m. — Report taken of an altercation between an employee and a resident at the transfer station.
9:44 p.m. — Officer responded to a report of a motorist acting suspiciously on Meany Road. The officer located the motorist, who had pulled into a driveway.
10:20 p.m. — Officer responded to speak with residents about a family issue.
