Ninety years ago, Springfield suffered its last devastating flood. Although there have been several notable storms since, there were three well-documented major floods prior to 1927. The 1869 flood was the most well-known because of the Park Street Bridge and the “Cab” shop; the other two are more obscure.

Hugh and Bunni Putnam will use photographs and available historic information to tell the story of these four floods. This program is free and open to all. For more information call (802) 886-7935 or email sahs@vermontel.net.
