NEWPORT — The following cases were heard in Newport Circuit Court during the week ending March 14:

A charge of conduct after an accident Dec., 6 in Newbury against Cassandra L. Carter, 28, 22 Madison Ave., Claremont, was withdrawn.

Two charges of simple assault Nov. 30 in Croydon against Colton G. Benson, 24, 48 Croydon Turnpike Road, Croydon, were withdrawn. Benson pleaded innocent to a third simple assault charge and it was placed on file without a finding.

Kim P. McLean, 77, Smith River Road, Danbury, failed to appear to answer charges of driving or operating under the influence of drugs or liquor, transportation of alcoholic beverages and operating after suspension Feb. 16 in New London and bench warrants were issued for McLean’s arrest.

Olivia A. Rasmussen, 19, 12 Bouldervale Road, Croydon, pleaded innocent to possession of false identification Jan. 3 in New London and the charge was placed on file without a finding. A charge of unlawful possession of alcohol was withdrawn.

William D. Hutchins III, 38, 145 Barton Road, Croydon, failed to appear to answer charges of domestic violence/simple assault and criminal trespass Feb. 29 in New London and bench warrants were issued for his arrest.

Michael A. Hunter, 57, 5 Pochelon St., Georges Mills, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence Dec. 16 in Newport, was fined $750, his license revoked for three years and he was sentenced to 60 days in the Sullivan County House of Corrections with 55 days suspended and two days of pretrial confinement allowed. He pleaded innocent to driving under the influence; impairment and the charge was dismissed.

Tyler G. Franks-Chubbuck, 21, 41 Coventry Drive, Sunapee, failed to appear to answer charges of dealing or possession prescription drugs Nov. 21 in Sunapee and theft by unauthorized taking Dec. 21 in Sunapee. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Justin K. Lamphaer, 25, 3 Blodgetts Landing Road, Newbury, failed to appear to answer charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated Feb. 15 in Newbury and disobeying a law enforcement officer. Bench warrants were issued for his arrest.

Tammy Trahan, 53, 163 Route 103, Newbury, failed to appear to answer a charge of possession of 3/4 of an ounce or less of marijuana Jan 10 at Sunapee, and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Ernest L. Thompson, 36, 540 Old Post Road, Newbury, failed to appear to answer a charge of driving after suspension (subsequent) Jan. 23 in Newbury and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

A charge of possession of false identification against Lukas W. Weber, 19, 197 Old College Road, Andover, was withdrawn.

Candace Fontaine, 28, 11 German Shepherd Way, Apt. 1, Newport, pleaded innocent to simple assault—mutual combat—Dec. 17 in Newport, was found guilty and fined $200.

Jesse L. Bissonnette, 30, 880 Route 103 Highway, Apartment B, Newbury, pleaded innocent to conduct after an accident Dec. 7 in Newbury and the charge was placed on file without a finding. He pleaded guilty to false information to law enforcement and was fined $500 with $250 suspended. He pleaded guilty to misuse of plates and was fined $150. A charge of operating an unregistered vehicle was withdrawn.

Trevor J. McConnell, 17, 57 Ramblewood Drive, Newbury, pleaded guilty to possession of alcohol by a minor Jan. 10 and was fined $300. He pleaded innocent to possession and use of tobacco products, E-cigarettes or E-liquids by minors and the charge was placed on file without a finding.

A charge of operating with a suspended vehicle registration against Sally A. Martin, 39, 140 North Main St., Newport, was withdrawn.
