NEWPORT — The following cases were heard in Newport Circuit Court during the week ending Oct. 19:
Gina L. Sargent, 42, 583 Bradford Road, Newport, pleaded no contest to a yellow/solid line violation Feb. 28 in Sunapee, was found guilty and fined $100.
A charge of motorists duties when approaching an emergency May 24 in New London against Rizwean Qammar, 43, 63 Belding St., Claremont, was withdrawn.
A charge of speeding 45 mph in a 30 mph zone June 5 in Newbury against Jessie T. Greenhalgh, 31, 76 Baker Hill Road, Sutton, was withdrawn.
Leanne M. Beck, 57, 435 Newbury Road, Bradford, pleaded no contest to speeding 60 mph in a 50 mph zone March 26 in New London, was found guilty and fined $50.
Carrie A. Chartier, 40, 572 Sunapee St., Newport, pleaded no contest to speeding 80 mph in a 65 mph zone June 17 in New London, was found guilty and fined $150. A charge of operating without lights was withdrawn.
Annmarie Denneen, 28, 46B Walnut St., Claremont, pleaded innocent to a non-inspection charge May 31 in New London, an administrative finding of guilty was handed down and she was fined $60.
Rebecca Nichols, 34 Steves Road, Newbury, was found guilty of two registrations of dog violations July 14 and was fined $25 on each charge.
