NEWPORT — The following cases were heard in Newport Circuit Court during the week ending May 18, 2019:

Noah L. Ellis, 22, 25 Mill Village Road, Goshen, pleaded guilty to simple assault-physical contact, April 15 in Goshen and was sentenced to 15 days in the Sullivan County House of Corrections, suspended for one year on good behavior.

Amanda R. Bulliner, 37, 12 Cross St., Newport, pleaded guilty to driving after revocation/suspension Jan. 28 in Goshen and was fined $250. She pleaded innocent to a second charge of driving after revocation/suspension and a traffic control device violation and both charges were placed on file without a finding for one year on good behavior.

Jedidiah A. Peterson, 46, Grantham, pleaded guilty to speeding 70 mph Dec. 4 in New London and was fined $80.60.

Tracie Anne Plodick, 51, 19 Summit Road, Grantham, pleaded guilty to stopping/standby parking prohibited Nov. 14 in Grantham and was fined $62.

A charge of theft of services Oct. 19 in Newport against Jody Metcalf, 40, 37 Maple St., Newport, was withdrawn. She pleaded guilty to willful concealment Oct.14 at the New Hampshire State Liquor Store in Newport, a pint of Gentleman’s Jack valued at $15.99 and was sentenced to 60 days in the HOC to be served concurrently with a sentence she is currently serving.

A charge of negligent driving, not clearing his vehicle of snow Feb. 9 in Newport, against Kyle J Coolidge, 23, 42 West Terrace St., Claremont, was withdrawn.

A charge of speeding 75 mph in a 50 mph zone Sept. 26 in Newport against Janet L. Hamilton, 45, Route 44, Windsor, was withdrawn.

A charge of speeding 59 mph in a 40 mph zone in Croydon against Mariah K. Hill, 25, 273 East Mountain Road, Newport, was withdrawn.

Michael Schafer, 58, Meriden, pleaded guilty to speeding 50 mph in a 35 mph zone Oct. 12 in New London and was fined $93.

A charge of speeding 50 mph in a 25 mph zone Oct. 25 in Croydon against Mark Lewis, 81, of Grantham, was withdrawn.

Ty Mai, 25, 5 Kyle Drive, Newport, pleaded innocent to negligent driving Nov. 27 in Sunapee, an administrative finding of guilty was handed down and he was fined $250.

Michael P. Murphy, 56, New London, pleaded guilty to a charge that while engaged in hunting March 21in New London he caused the death or injury to domestic animals and will be liable for damages and restitution in the amount of $440 within 90 days. He pleaded guilty to negligent discharge of a firearm March 21 in New London and was fined $500, suspended for one year on good behavior.

Kirk A. Harris, 55, 168 North Main St., Apartment 2, Newport, pleaded guilty to disobeying an officer Feb. 15 in Sunapee and was fined $250, suspended for one year on good behavior. A charge of a defective tail lamp and reflectors was withdrawn.

Carol A. Pierce, 31, 10 Trinity St., Claremont, pleaded guilty to operating without a valid license April 2 in Sunapee and was fined $100.

Krystle N. Thompson, 32, 16 Beech St., Apartment 2, Newport, pleaded guilty to operating with an expired license March 17 in Newport, subsequent offense, and was fined $75.
