Following cooler days to start the weather week on July 24, the heat returned and it's possible some spots in New Hampshire like Manchester and Nashua will get to enjoy another heat wave with three consecutive days at 90 or above. It isn't expected to be as muggy or hot as the last heat wave that is still a fond memory.

It has definitely been beach weather, however. Looking at the calendar it won't be long until area high school sports teams report for practice sessions.

Now that the second heat wave in a couple of weeks has gone out to sea, it's time for some rain. The humidity was projected to remain very high on Wednesday with cooler temperatures and much less humidity coming to the area on Thursday.
