NEWPORT — A Claremont man was killed on Thursday, Jan. 9 after being struck by a dump truck at the intersection of Bald Mountain Road and Sunapee Street at approximately 3:30 p.m.

NEWPORT — Alan Wirkkala, 52, of Newport, has been sentenced to serve 20 to 45 years in prison following his sentencing hearing in Sullivan County Superior Court on Monday, Jan. 13.
