NEWPORT — The Reprisal Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution has announced its DAR Good Citizen Winners for 2018-2019.

They are Sarah Ball of Lebanon High School and Blaise O'Mara of Sunapee Middle High School.

The DAR Good Citizen program and scholarship contest is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. Students selected for this award must have the following qualities:

Dependability - which includes truthfulness, loyalty, punctuality.

Service - which includes cooperation, courtesy and consideration of others.

Leadership - which includes personality, self-control and ability to assume responsibility.

Patriotism - which includes unselfish interest in family, school, community, and nation.

Blaise O'Mara is the son of Theresa O'Mara of Sunapee. Sarah Ball is the daughter of Tim and Heather Ball of Lebanon.

Each student will receive a commemorative pin and a certificate of achievement from the chapter.

All the DAR Good Citizen winners are invited to be recognized at a New Hampshire DAR state-wide luncheon in March in Concord.
