THIRTY-NINE future soccer stars got to test their kicking style recently at the Claremont Elks Soccer Shoot at Monadnock Park.

CLAREMONT — A total of 39 young soccer players, 15 girls and 23 boys, ages 3 1/2 to 13 years old, participated in Sunday’s Claremont Elks BPOE 879 Soccer Shoot at Monadnock Park.

The winners in the girls competition, all from Claremont, included Shawna Morin, U8; Zoey Friesen, U10; Isabella Bovell, U12, and Kamdyn Aldrich, U14.

In the boys competition it was Xavier Casaneda, U8; Sawyer Loiselle, U10; Conner Premo, U12 and Steven Rheaume, U14. The boys were also all from Claremont.

The winners move on to the State Shoot Oct. 6 hosted by Plymouth Lodge 2312. If they place first at the State Shoot they will move on to the Regional hoot being held in Rhode Island this year.

The Stevens boys soccer team helped for the fourth year in a row at Sunday’s Soccer Shoot. A total of 15 team members were there Approximately 45 family members were also in attendance.
