NEWPORT — Dancing with the Newport Stars will once again grace the Newport Opera House stage on Jan. 24 and 25. 

The show, which takes the stage at 7 each evening, will follow last year’s format of four Junior Stars and six Adult Stars. 

Steve Smith will emcee the program as he has for the last eight seasons. The judges will be Kevin Onnela, Dan Cherry, and Meg Cowan. 

Ticket prices will be $30 for reserved seating, $20 for general seating and $15 for students. There are limited VIP tables available for both evenings. 

You can purchase VIP tables and general seating tickets at the Petal Patch, 863-3833. Both reserved seating and general seating can be purchased through the Opera House at 863-2412 or online at 

The Juniors performing in this years contest include: 

Natasha Whipple is the daughter of Christy and Cary L. Whipple of Newport. Natasha is a senior at Newport High School where she is currently the president of the senior Class of 2020 and is a member of both the National Honor Society and the National Vocational Technical Honor Society. Natasha plans to major in Business with a Pastry Arts focus at Johnson and Wales University next fall. – Pro partner is Mason Martell. 

Allie Howald is a full-time student at Newport High School. She works part-time at Tucker’s in New London. Her hobbies are art, track, being outside, and dance. Her parents are John and Amy Howald. Allison has a younger brother, Jared. Her plan after high school is to pursue a career as a conservation officer with the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.– Pro Partner is Luke Bartlett. 

Cameron Hall is currently a senior at Newport High School. He has one older brother named Tyler and two younger sisters, Annalee and Paige. After high school he plans to pursue a career in automotive technology. In his free time Cameron likes to play guitar, go for drives and ride his motorcycle. – Pro partner is Ali Friend. 

Cody O’Brian, 17 years old and a senior in the Class of 2020 at Newport High School. His Mom is Tammy Tait-O’Brian and Cody has one sister, Shannon Minckler. He enjoys basketball and football. After graduation he is joining the U.S. Marines – Pro partner is Lyndsey Patten.
