UNITY — There will be plenty to enjoy at the annual Unity Old Home Day set for Aug. 2 and 3.
The celebration will start on Friday, Aug. 2nd with dancing to music of the 70’s and 80’s at the Unity Town Hall from 7-10 p.m. The cover charge will be $6 for singles and $10 for couples.
Aug. 3rd events will start with the Unity Fire Department’s annual pancake breakfast from 7-10 a.m. followed by a 5k walk/run for Veterans sponsored by the Unity Historical Society starting at 9 a.m. on Center Road. There will be a $20 donation fee with all proceeds benefiting Veterans.
Vendors located on the Common will be offering ceramics, paparazzi jewelry, perfectly posh DoTerra essentials, homemade soaps, jewelry and more. Also featured will be tractor pulls by the Antique Tractor Club members and kids games with music in the gazebo by Route 665.
The goat plop bingo contest to benefit the Unity eighth grade is also on the schedule along with the blueberry pie-baking contest. Batman will make a special appearance and there will be a pie-eating contest (how fast can you eat a chocolate pie?).
Awards will be presented to the oldest Unity resident and youngest unity resident in attendance.
