WESTFIELD, Mass. — The Colby-Sawyer women's cross country team finished seventh out of 28 teams at Saturday's James Earley Invitational hosted by Westfield State.
The Chargers collected 211 points to finish ahead of four other GNAC teams.
First-year Zoe Utton (Charlestown, N.H.) led the Chargers with a personal best 5k time of 19:00.29. She finished 10th out of 223 runners.
First-year Shannon O'Connell (Peabody, Mass.) was right behind Utton in 16th place with a time of 19:15.91.
Senior Alison Fairbairn (Dover, N.H.) turned in a personal best time of 19:44.97 to finish in 30th place.
First-year Emily Carrigan (Wenham, Mass.) and senior Megan Spainhower (Northwood, N.H.) finished together in 83rd and 86th, respectively. Carrigan had a personal record time of 20:46.24, while Spainhower clocked in at 20:47.26.
Senior Hannah Barrett (Topsfield, Mass.) placed 97th in 21:02.53, while senior Bryanna Parker (Winterport, Maine) finished 129th in a time of 22:08.25.
Rounding out the Charger competitors was Olivia Anderson who came away with a personal best time of 23:08.84 to place 158th.
