Members of the Bellows Falls Woman’s Club will hold their first meeting of the new club year on September 10, at the United Church, School Street, beginning at 1:30. The program will be presented by Susan Shapiro of Valley Cares, located in Townshend. Upon payment of dues, members will receive the program booklet.

Since meeting in May, and then disbanding for the summer, the club presented its $1500 high school scholarship to Brigid Hodsden. During the summer, the Executive Board met to plan programs, establish committees and formulate a budget which will be voted on at the meeting. In July, the club held a food and bake sale in conjunction with the Walpole Historical Society’s summer fair.

Area women interested in joining the club and helping with its projects and activities may contact Wendy O’Dette, Membership Chairman, The club meets on the second Tuesday of each month, Sept. — May, at the United Church of Bellows Falls, unless otherwise noted, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The BF club is a member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, an international women’s organization dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
