Local residents rally around key issues, urge people to vote

Kari Storm, left, and Ken Ebell, right, participate in a peaceful demonstration hosted by the Mountain Valley Climate Action alongside South Main Street in Chester, Vt., on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020. The event was held in an effort to bring attention to marginalized communities, global inequalities, and other issues pertinent to the upcoming U.S. presidential election. Joining them were Cheryl Joy Lipton, Melody Reed, and Wendy Schwarz. “We are trying to stay neutral,” Schwarz said. “These signs are for anybody and everybody. We just want you to vote. Too much is at stake.”
