Family, friends and members of the Newport Moose Lodge No. 1236 Chapter 662 wave to Woodlawn Care Center residents snuggled up indoors as holiday music plays on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020. About two dozen from the Newport community showed up outside on the front lawn of the nursing home to sing carols in an effort to brighten the spirits of those socially distanced and isolated inside. Woodlawn has experienced a large novel coronavirus outbreak among residents and staff since early November which has resulted in 57 cases and four deaths.
