We had Tom Joyce the magician here on Wednesday Oct. 9. What a great show he did for us. Looking forward to inviting him back again.

We will be having someone here on Tuesday and Thursday from 11-11:30 a.m. to help folks learn to take their blood pressure with an Automatic Blood Pressure Cuff Monitor, starting Oct. 1.

At this time Val Woodbury has offered to direct the Songsters, but she would like someone to co-direct with her. Thank you Val.

Do you like to sing? We could use some more folks to join the Songsters. You do not need to know how to read music to join. This is a group that gets together weekly and goes over the songs that will be sung for their programs. They do four programs a year here at the center, and will travel to a few local centers to “take the show on the road.” If interested you can call or just show up on Fridays mornings as they start at 9 a.m.

We will be starting an 8-week series of Tai Chi classes on Tuesdays (Oct. 2-Nov. 26) no class on Oct. 8. The classes will be from 1-2 p.m. Tai Chi connects the mind, body, and breath, it also works on balance, weight transfer, and arthritis. There is no sign up for these classes.

Save the date for our Annual Christmas Bazaar, Saturday Nov. 23 from 9-1. Join us for our largest fundraiser. We will be having our Cookie Walk, luncheon, and food table along with some of your favorite vendors and new ones. A good way to start the Christmas season and shopping.
