Tales On — And From — The Trail

Tales On — And From — The Trail

This summer my husband and I have often hiked different sections of the 9.6-mile Sugar River Rail Trail between Newport and Claremont. It is a beautiful, well-shaded trail through the woods and along the Sugar River. We have seen many great creatures from blue herons to various small birds and a bobcat! The trail is multi-use and we’ve passed hikers, bicyclers, dog walkers, joggers, horseback riders, fishermen and rafters. The Sugar River Rail Trail is a hidden gem.
