SPRINGFIELD, Vt. — On June 10 at approximately 6:58 a.m., Vermont State Police were dispatched to Interstate 91, mile marker 41 north, to a report of a single vehicle crash involving a deer. Conditions were clear and dry. Tanner Singleton, 23, of West Lebanon stated he was heading north in the travel lane when he observed a deer walking south in the interstate median. Singleton reported that the deer dashed in front of his vehicle as he approached and he stuck the deer with the front passenger side of his 2018 Ford Ecosport, damaging the bumper and headlight. The operator did not report any injuries at this time. The deer was euthanized due to the injuries she suffered. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
