SPRINGFIELD, VT March 18, 2023- State and local law enforcement are investigating reports of gunfire in a neighborhood just off of South Street Hill in Springfield early Friday afternoon.
The Vermont State Police and the Springfield Police Department had Patnode Way blocked off for most of the afternoon, following reports of gunfire from a residence.
Officials said that no one was hurt but would not report any details while the incident was still under investigation.
On Saturday, the Springfield Police Department did confirm that no one was injured.
According to an employee in the Social Services Department, the Springfield State Office Building on Mineral Street went into lockdown at 1:12PM, until police finished investigating later that afternoon.
