At 10:40 a.m. Officer responded to a report of criminal mischief on South Main Street. Male subject was throwing eggs at home and broke a window.

At 7:29 p.m. Officer responded to a report of male subject that was intoxicated on Unity Road. Subject was released to his parent.

Monday, July 1

At 11:19 a.m. Officers responded to a report of criminal threatening on Springfield Road. Kenneth Rickard, 80, of Newport was arrested for reckless conduct with a deadly weapon.

Tuesday, July 2

At 7:31 p.m. Motor vehicle stop on Sunapee Street. Albert Hutchins, III, 25, of Charlestown was given a summons for unregistered vehicle.

Wednesday, July 3

At 12:19 a.m. Officer responded to a report of noise disturbance on Luxury Dr. Officer spoke to involved party and warned him for disorderly conduct for the loud music.

At 6:24 a.m. Officer responded to 911 hang up call on Beech Street. On call back, female subject requested an officer for a civil standby.

At 6:44 p.m. Thadius Nye, 33, of Newport was arrested for violation of protective order.

Thursday, July 4

At 1:42 p.m. Officer responded to a report of suspicious activity on Meadow Road. Jesse French, 48, of Newport was arrested to protective custody of intoxicated person and resisting arrest.

At 9:10 p.m. Motor vehicle stop on Unity Road. Lee Branch, 31, of Newport was given a citation for driving without a license.

At 9:56 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a fight on South Main Street. Corey Cole, 40, of Danbury was taken into protective custody for intoxication. Incident is under investigation.

Friday, July 5

At 10:53 a.m. Officer responded to a 911 hang up for a domestic dispute. Isreal Soto Jr. , 25, of Newport was arrested for domestic violence and simple assault.

Saturday, July 6

At 12:56 a.m. Officer responded to a report of violation of protective order on Middle Street. Upon the officer’s arrival it was determined that there was no violation.

At 10:26 p.m. Officer responded to a report of civil problem on Whipple Road. Adam Hooper, 35, of Newport was taken into protective custody for intoxication.
