Harold W. Boone CLAREMONT — Harold W. Boone, 83, of Claremont, died peacefully on June 22, 2020, at home surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Botwood, Newfoundland, Canada, on April 15, 1937, the son of Phineas and Mary Jane Boone. Harold moved to Claremont in 1963 in search of opportunities to provide for his family. He worked at multiple jobs starting at Springfield Foundry in Springfield, ending in his retirement of 25-plus years as a supervisor at Pine Tree Castings in Newport. He leaves behind his children, Florence Marcotte of Claremont; JoAnn Kleyensteuber and her husband Guenter of Claremont; Richard Boone and his wife Heather of Newport; and Elizabeth Miller and her husband Chris of Claremont. Nine grandchildren, Lesley Marcotte, Katja Kleyensteuber, Kai Kleyensteuber, Karsten Kleyensteuber, Joshua Boone, Cole Boone, Bethany Boone, Copeland Miller and his wife Michelle, Brady Miller; and two great-granddaughters, Leah and Vivian Miller. His siblings, Andrea Hillier, Stephen Boone and Diane Stone. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife of 55 years, Robina, and his sisters, Edna, Fanny, Florence and Dorcas. There will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held at the family's convenience.
