James A. Menard Sr. NEWPORT — James A. Menard Sr. died unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at home in Newport, New Hampshire, at the age of 62. He enjoyed many outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing and ice fishing. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing horseshoes. If Jim wasn’t in the hayfields or out back splitting wood, he could be found in the shop working on a project or socializing with friends. He worked for 20 years at Dorr Woolen, where he made many lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Denis Menard Sr., Beverly (Moran) Menard, and one brother, David Menard. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sandra Menard; three children, Rachel Menard, James Menard Jr., Milissa Menard; five grandchildren, Megan Menard, Ryan Colburn, Leigha Menard, Owen Leavitt, Nikolas Menard; one great-granddaughter, Addison Menard; his brothers, Denis Menard Jr., Brian Menard, Paul Menard; and five nephews. "Old Kelleyville Road won't be the same, but his spirit will live on with a beep and a wave!" Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newton-Bartlett Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in North Newport Cemetery. All are welcome to attend. A GoFundMe account will be set up to assist with expenses.
