KEENE — Jesse Maxton French, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 6, 2019. Jesse had an adventurous spirit and traveled around the country in his younger years, returning to his home state of New Hampshire in 2000. He loved rock music and attending live concerts whenever he could. He was a huge fan of the novelist Stephen King, reading every one of his books as soon as he could get ahold of them. He had two favorite occupations: landscaping and cooking, and held several jobs in those fields throughout his life, beginning at a small deli in Sunapee Harbor at the age of 12! Jesse struggled with addiction from a young age. He made several gallant attempts to overcome addiction, but the disease never fully loosened its grip and ultimately took his life. Always affable, sociable, outgoing, charismatic and quick to make you laugh, Jesse easily made friends wherever he went. Loved by many, Jesse will never be forgotten and will forever be missed. He is survived by his mother Doreen and husband Ken Burnell; his father Larry and wife Sue French; his only sibling, sister Karla Walker and husband Mathew; and one son Norman Peele. In hopes of helping others who are struggling with addiction, the family asks that you please consider donating in Jesse's memory to Phoenix House, a recovery and treatment center in Keene. All information can be found on their website at www.phoenixhouse.org. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
