Richard W. Birch LYME — Richard Warren Birch, age 65, passed away May 11, 2020, at the Jack Burns Palliative Care Center, from complications with colon cancer. He will be remembered for his humor, love of birds, gardening, family, Civil War history buff, and walking everywhere, including parts of the APT. Throughout his life, he had many jobs. He was a Hanover High School cadet for fire and police, Dartmouth College campus police, Hood Museum security director, Vermont deputy sheriff for Orange County, truck driver for Sid Wainer, Long Wind Farm, and a DHMC employee. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A private service was held May 20 in Lyme. A celebration of his life will happen once the pandemic ends.
