Ruth L. Hall CLAREMONT — Ruth L. Hunt Hall, 90, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones at the Elm Wood Center in Claremont, New Hampshire, on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020. Born at home in Cornish, New Hampshire, on Aug. 27, 1929, to parents Leslie M. and Florence (Higgins) Hunt, Ruth attended Cornish Elementary School and graduated from Windsor High School in Windsor, Vermont. She married John E. Hall on Aug. 30, 1947, in Ascutney, Vermont. Ruth worked at several places, retiring from her favorite job as a nanny for two young children in Windsor, Vermont. She was predeceased by her husband, John, on April 30, 2003. She is survived by her son, John H. Hall and wife Diane; and her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and was very close to, Kristi Dompier of Spofford, New Hampshire, and husband Steve and their two children, Jacob and Justin, John F. Hall of Claremont, New Hampshire, and wife Melissa and their daughter, Emilee, Jaclyn Stanley of Brownsville, Vermont, and husband Mark; and step-grandson, Tyler Roots, of Golden, Colorado, and his daughter, Adeline. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020, at 11 a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery in Claremont, New Hampshire. Dress warmly and come early. The service will be followed by refreshments at a location to be announced. Arrangements are with the Stringer Funeral Home and Crematorium, Claremont, New Hampshire, and condolences may be expressed online at www.stringerfh.com.
