Winthrop H. Langill NEWPORT — Winthrop Howard Langill, age 68, passed away Sept. 27, 2019, after a long battle with diabetes. Winthrop was born on Aug. 28, 1951. He lived a private life while residing at Luxury Drive apartments in Newport. In his early career, he worked as an EMT for New London and Newport. For the latter part of his career, he worked 25 years for Sturm Ruger Firearms in Newport. Winthrop was the son of Clarence Langill and Josephine Langill. He is survived by his fiancée Mary Dennett; his children, Perry Langill, Amy Kimball, David Langill and Kennith Langill; his sister Jean Bailey; his nephews, Adam Bailey and Owen Elliot. Winthrop enjoyed tinkering with computerized technologies, and he was a master at playing guitar.
