Green Mountain flexes its muscles in 8-1 win

Green Mountain’s Ty Merrill splits the Windsor defense Perley Burklund (#2) and Brandon Hennessey (#3). After winning their first ever state championship last season, the Green Mountain Chieftains are every bit as good this season. Jacob Walkers bunch has outscored their opponents 24-2 after dropping an opening season game to Woodstock 2-1. Thursday’s matchup against the Yellow Jackets was closer than the final score thanks to Windsor’s keeper Jake Singelais who was spectacular in net facing the firepower from Chester.
